Moreré: the pools that depend on the tide

A lot of people choose Boipeba because of this place. Reefs, shallow water, colourful fish — when low tide opens the way.

What to expect

At low tide, natural pools form over the reefs. On a clear day visibility is usually good. Simple snorkel: mask and snorkel are enough; you can often rent on site or on the tour, subject to availability.

There are stalls with food and drink on the shore. Structure exists, but it stays rustic. Moreré is a small settlement; the pace is beach, not town.

The golden rule

Without a favourable low tide, it is not the same trip.

Without a favourable low tide, it isn’t the same outing. Plan the day by the tide table — not only by the sun. Windows with a proper low tide make the difference. If the tide won’t help, switch to Tassimirim, Boca da Barra or a Castelhanos / mangrove day.

We align boat and timing with your stay, on request.

How to get there

  • Boat: the most common way (about 30–40 minutes from the Boca da Barra area, depending on tide and route).
  • On foot: beautiful but long (often cited around 2–2.5 hours from the village with stops) — bring water, sunscreen and start early.
  • Quad: shortens land stretches — on request.

What to bring

  • Coral-friendly sunscreen when possible, hat, water
  • Rash vest / sun protection
  • Cash for stall and snorkel rental if needed
  • Respect for coral: don’t stand on it, don’t touch, don’t collect

After Moreré

Back to the house. Pool. Hot tub. Ice ready. The contrast between a reef day and Verde e Mar’s quiet is part of the luxury.
