Practical tips (the ones that actually matter)

1. Download the tide table

Moreré and Tassimirim pools only really show up at low tide. Check the day before you book the boat. We’ll cross-check tide and availability with you.

2. What to pack

• Sunscreen (reapply), hat, sunglasses, rash vest
• Insect repellent (mangrove and late afternoon)
• Flip-flops + light trainers or firm sandals for trails
• Thin rain layer / light jacket for boat and quick showers
• Small torch (streets without urban lighting)
• Ongoing medication and a basic first-aid kit
• Cash for stalls and small spends (not everywhere takes card all the time)

3. Sun and hydration

Bahian sun is generous and hard. Drink water all day. Palm shade helps — it doesn’t replace sunscreen.

4. Connection and power

Mobile signal and internet change with carrier and spot on the island. Treat disconnection as part of the place — and tell anyone who needs to know before you leave.

5. Arrival without improvisation

Ferry, van and boat schedules change. Book with margin. If you fly into Salvador, don’t cut the same-day connection to Boipeba too fine without a plan B. Talk to us: +55 75 99712 9506.

6. Respect for the community

Boipeba is home to many people, not only a destination. Ask permission, do not drone carelessly over settlements, do not leave rubbish on the beach, do not step on coral.

7. At Verde e Mar

Whole house: ice, wine cellar, A/C, pool, hot tub. House cook included (plan meals before check-in); boat or quad: ask ahead. One booking at a time — service is direct.
